Hagbourne Hill provides a clear overview of the power station, even including the conveyors that took the coal up to the boilers.

The newer Didcot B gas-fired power station can be seen to the left, with more than 20 of its fan-assisted cooling units just visible over trees. These make large cooling towers unnecessary in this modern type of power plant.
