Guo's Villa

Guo's Villa (郭庄) was built between 1851 and 1861, and is named after Guo Shilin, a local silk merchant who was to become its owner. It is situated on the edge of the West Lake and is considered the best traditional private garden in Hangzhou. It opened to the public in 1991 after an extensive renovation.
