Cathedral from the walls

Chester Cathedral is said to contain materials from every century from the 10th century onwards. It was extensivaly restored in the late 19th century by George Gilbert Scott; his grandson Giles Gilbert Scott (architect of Liverpool Cathedral) worked on the restoration of the cloisters.
