Lime Street Station

19 June 2003

The roof of Liverpool's Lime Street station was constructed in 1849. Sadly, this style of railway architecture is long gone, as users of Birmingham's dingy, concrete New Street Station would agree.

Liverpool's terminus, with its arched roof, reminds me of Milan Central Station, or perhaps St Pancras Station in London.
