In addition to buildings such a Liverpool Cathedral and Bankside Power Station in London (now home of the Tate Modern), Giles Gilbert Scott designed the traditional British red telephone box. Unfortunately, most of these boxes have now been replaced by dull, modern, glass booths, with only a few remaining in historic areas. One of the boxes is preserved inside the cathedral.
