Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge

4 February 2007

Tower Bridge, taken from London Bridge: care should be taken not to confuse the two. In the 1960s, an American entrepreneur bought London Bridge and shipped it to Arizona, apparently believing he was buying the famous Tower Bridge (seen here). A new London Bridge was constucted in its place, and is one of the best vantage points from which to view the bridge the Americans failed to get their hands on.

HMS Belfast, seen on the right of the picture, has been moored on the Thames since 1970, and is a museum ship.
